Deshaun is a multi talented artist from Springfield Massachusetts. He started cultivating his affinity for art in 2015 when he picked up a camera. He developed a love for the intrinsic process behind being a photographer. Working with the shutter, the aperture and the ISO to capture moments he appreciated. Deshaun's appreciation for his art began to become synonymous with his environment and culture. While becoming an adult he realized the world around him and how it perceived everything he cared about. Afro centric imagery became important to him, displaying the beauty of darker skin, pointing to the joy he experienced with his people, it became a goal to identify with his blackness within his art. On his mission to do so he fell in love with fashion in 2020. This allowed him to intertwine traditional African fabrics within his clothing. Connecting the passion woven into his art. Graphic design allowed him to speak a language his other mediums couldn't do alone. A voice with minimal dialogue, another pillar in tandem with his love letter to his community.
Deshaun's Goals are to be a staple for young black and brown kids across the globe. To show them what they can be if they believe their bigger than what their told. The process will include opening an AD firm and giving people like himself a platform to push their talents. He wishes to create a clothing distribution where small designers can create their dream clothing. Also creating a studio where multiple mediums can co exist. Where they all have the ability to create freely at an affordable rate.
